In order for you to become a registered nurse or a vocational nurse, you would need to meet the prerequisites for nursing and one of these prerequisites is to obtain a high school diploma. You may not want this but you actually need to enter and finish high school in order for you to get a high school diploma. If you don’t like studying and if you don’t like high school, then you should not pursue your dream to become a nurse. The high school diploma is a strict requirement and you would be rendered ineligible for admission in any nursing school if you do not have a high school diploma. The alternative of the high school diploma is the general education development certificate. Now, if you don’t have this certificate, then it only means that you can’t enroll in a nursing school. This is a very strict prerequisite that you need to follow and there are absolutely no exceptions to this rule.
